#2red - Robert & Susan Hollander Foundation
Since my first bottling in 2007, I have been blessed with great grapes and an uninterrupted series of excellent wines. I love all of these wines. I am proud to make them available in exchange for your tax-deductible support, confident that you will enjoy them as I do.

The #2red, inspired by my love of the red wines of the Rhone, specifically Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is Syrah-based and blended with combinations of Durif, Grenache, Mourvedre and/or Viognier.  Outstanding since the first bottling in 2007, several excellent award-winning vintages are offered.

2010

After a year in oak, the 2010 White Hawk Syrah demonstrated an expansive bouquet of dark berry fruits with floral overtones and, prior to blending, was outstanding. In the blending session, small amounts of Grenache (3%), Durif (1%) and Viognier (1%) were added to the Syrah (95%), providing additional complexity as well as tannins for enhanced aging. As with the previous award-winning vintages, this wine has immediate appeal and should evolve for at least 10-20 years. Enjoy it with grilled red and game meats and select cheeses (especially blue cheese, smoked gouda and gruyere). We love this wine and are confident that you will, too..
