Zinpiphany Bottle Zinpiphany Zinfandel has consistently demonstrated the effusive spicy crushed raspberry bouquet that make Zinfandel a pleasure to drink and a natural accompaniment to Italian cuisine.  On offer are a series of award-winning vintages.

2011

The 2011 Zinpiphany® started with ripe Grist Vineyards Zinfandel (99%) and was blended with Petite Sirah (½%) for its tannin and inky blackberry notes along with Grenache (½%) for its light berry aromatic notes. As with the previous award-winning vintages, the 2011 Zinpiphany® has layers of briary fruit, a nose of crushed raspberries and cinnamon and possesses tremendous appeal. It was excellent during blending and should provide years of great drinking.

2012

The 2012 Zinpiphany® started with Grist Vineyards Zinfandel (94%) and was blended with Petite Sirah (2%) for its tannin and inky blackberry notes, Mourvedre (2%) for its dark fruit character, Grenache (1%) for its light berry aromatic notes and Viognier (1%) for additional complexity. As with the previous award-winning vintages, the 2012 Zinpiphany® has layers of briary fruit, a nose of crushed raspberries and cinnamon and possesses tremendous appeal. The final blend was excellent and, as of 2020, continues to evolve. Pair it with pasta, pizza, and grilled meats.

The 2017 Zinpiphany® started with Jigsaw Vineyards Zinfandel (97.5%) and was blended with Petite Sirah (1%) for additional berry-intensity and Grenache (1%) and Viognier (0.5%) for their aromatics and additional complexity. More tannic than previous years, the 2017 Zinpiphany® is intense, fruit-forward, complex and should start to drink beautifully in 2-3 years with years of life to follow. Pair it with pasta, pizza, and grilled meats.
